Mozart. Sonata in A major K.331 (‘Turkish Rondo’)
Scriabin. Five Preludes Op.74
Mussorgsky. Pictures at an Exhibition

A welcome return to Norwich by Paul Lewis. This year sees the 150th anniversary of the birth of Scriabin, and Paul Lewis marks it with the Preludes Op.74, which were among the composer’s very last pieces. Much more familiar in the Russian piano repertoire is Mussorgsky’s grandiose Pictures from an Exhibition; while Mozart’s ‘Turkish Rondo’ sonata is the most famous of all his keyboard works.
